Nowadays, the renewable energy sources in microgrids (MGs) have high participation to supply consumer’s demand. In such MGs, problems as system frequency stability, inertia, and damping reduction are threatened. To overcome this challenge, employing virtual inertia control (VIC) concept MG structure could be considered a viable solution improve response. Hence, work proposes novel modeling for VIC an islanded that provides simultaneous emulation of primary control, damping. show efficiency proposed technique, comparison is made between dynamic performance conventional under different scenarios. The results indicate presents superior with VIC. addition modeling, new cascade controller based on three-degrees freedom fractional-order controllers (FOCs) secondary controller. effectiveness compared tilt-integral-derivative FO proportional-integral-derivative controllers.
